At the direction of the Chief Health Officer Victoria, campsites, caravan parks and camping grounds across the state of Victoria will now be closed to visitors.
The Victorian Government has today announced that caravan and camping parks are to close at midnight tonight, 25 March 2020, to all tourists. They may only remain open to serve residents and site tenants as well as “grey nomads” who either do not have a permanent place of residence or are travelling and unable to get home. Parks may also open to workers whose primary residence is not available due to the distance between home and the work site, but under no circumstances are tourist permitted to access facilities.
This new measure was announced to reduce the risk of infection and slow the spread of COVID-19.
Under this state government directive, we are also advised that annuals must not be admitted to the park.
During the park shut down, we will continue to reside onsite to ensure grounds are maintained and to undertake outstanding maintenance tasks. This will also ensure the security of the site.
We know this is a tough time for everyone, including us as mangers and the parks owners, however we are left with no choice but to comply with the Health Ministers recommendation to slow the spread of the virus and ensure that we can re-open as soon as possible.
We look forward to welcoming you all when we re-open and thank you for your support and understanding in these tough times.
